Quite simply, if you're producing testosterone like a female, your going to be building muscle like a female too!
What most of us don't know is... the testosterone hormone is a fat/cholesterol molecule. Testosterone is made from fat! Significant evidence exists that as our dietary fat intake drops, so does our body's "raw materials" for the production of testosterone. Add in the fact that most guys eating low-fat are in a calorie deficit (dieting), so their demands for energy come FIRST, and hormone production comes in a distant 2nd, 3rd, or even 4th...
So if you're cutting a lot of fat out of your diet in an effort to lose weight... you could also be setting yourself up to lose a LOT of muscle. Sure, the numbers on the scale are dropping! But you're just turning into a SMALLER person, not a LEANER person. Then... after your diet is "finished", you'll be setting yourself up to gain back MASSIVE amounts of fat, since your metabolism boosting muscle has been... LOST.
Cut carbs??? Not always! Frequently, we take the carb cutting (and calorie cutting) too far, to fast. The result? Crashing your metabolism worse!
Come talk to me about a balanced approach to fat-loss without losing precious muscle!
